Coach Tom Scarbrough enters his first season as an assistant coach for the Spartans, bringing over 25 years of experience in both teaching and coaching. Throughout his career, which spans
Missouri and most recently Florida, he has coached football, baseball, and strength & conditioning. Tom was also a part of the Junior Sunbelt Classic for many years serving as head coach of Team Missouri.
Tom holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Northwest Missouri State University. As a teacher he has taught math, anatomy & physiology, and forensics. The majority of his career has been spent as a counselor in career and technical education.
Coach Scarbrough and his wife, Shelby, who is also an educator, have been married for over 30 years. They have two grown children: their son Payton and wife Dani, live in Naples, Florida, and their daughter Baylee and husband Caleb, who live in Tulsa. Tom is also a proud grandfather to his grandson, Titus, who is five months old.
