Head Strength & Conditioning Coach

Coach Mo is entering his 1st year as the Head Strength
and Conditioning Coach for the Bixby Spartans. Coach
Mo is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist
(CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning
Association (NSCA), a Level 1 Coach through USA
Weightlifting (USAW), and also holds certifications in
Functional Range Conditioning mobility specialization
(FRCms), Certified Speed and Agility Coach (CSAC), and
Reflexive Performance Reset – Level 2 (RPR-L2).

Before arriving at Bixby, Coach Mo served as the
Director of Strength and Performance at Casady School
in Oklahoma City for four years. Prior to that, he
worked as the Assistant Director of Strength Training
and Nutrition at Pittsburg State University, where he oversaw the strength programs for football and women’s basketball. He also served as the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Iowa Western, working with all athletic programs—primarily football, wrestling, and men’s basketball.

Coach Mo’s career also includes experience as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for football at O’Gorman School, and a year working under Yancy McKnight and the strength staff at the University of Texas, where he trained members of the Longhorns’ front seven, quarterbacks, and developmental defensive backs and receivers. Early in his career, he served as an Assistant Strength Coach for Olympic Sports and Fitness Coordinator at Northeastern State University.

Coach Mo played collegiate football at Northeastern State University (2012–2016), where he was a three-year starter on the defensive line and a three-time team captain for the Riverhawks. He earned All-MIAA honors as a redshirt freshman and was named a Preseason All-American as a redshirt sophomore. Coach Mo holds both a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Performance and a Master of Science in Health and Kinesiology, both from Northeastern State University.

A 2012 graduate of Midwest City High School, Coach Mo earned All-District recognition on the offensive line.

Coach Mo and his wife, Courtney, have been married for five years. They have a daughter, Jordyn (2) and baby #2 due in December. The also have two corgis, Nala and Kobe. The Moran family are active members of Woodlake Church and enjoy spending time together as a family.
