Coach Douglas is entering his 13th season as linebackers coach for the Bixby Spartans. Coach Douglas was part of Coach Pat McGrew’s staff that finished state runner-up in 5A during the 2009 season. Coach Douglas also serves as the eighth grade defensive coordinator.
Prior to joining the 2009 Spartans, Coach Douglas worked in the private sector for eight years. He holds degrees in Business Administration and Kinesiology from the University of Central Oklahoma and Northeastern State University respectively. While at Northeastern State University Coach Douglas was a member of the ’95 and ’96 Redmen football teams. Coach Douglas also holds his Level 1 U.S.A. Weightlifting certification.
Coach Douglas graduated from Broken Arrow in 1995. While at Broken Arrow, Brian was a linebacker for Coach Pat McGrew and wrestled for Coach Steve Dunlap.
Coach Douglas is currently in his ninth year of teaching Health & Weightlifting at Bixby High School. Coach Douglas also serves as assistant wrestling coach.
Coach Douglas has been married to his wife Kacie Douglas for six years.
